Haywood Regional Medical Center announces Nurses Week Awards

One of my favorite times each year is the annual Recognition event during Nurses Week in May. I am honored to celebrate with you and announce the award recipients. These nominations and awards shine a spotlight on the meaningful work our nurses are doing throughout Haywood Regional enterprise. Your hard work and dedication inspires us all. Thank you for everything you do!
Preceptor of the Year Award
The preceptor who best uses their knowledge and experience to help shape new nurses and influence positive change on their unit.
New Nurse of the Year Award
Any nurse who is new to the hospital or new to nursing who displays respect for fellow associates, a passion for growth, and desire to make a difference for their patients.
Staff RN Leadership Award
The Staff Nurse who is most skilled at leading their unit.
Staff Development Award
Nurses who have national certification in their specialty may qualify. The nominees should exemplify nursing care within their specialty.
As a token of appreciation the Awards winners will be receiving the Certificates and gifts within the following week.
