Mountain Spine Care welcomes Dr. Glenn Trent

Clyde, N.C. (Feb, 2016) – Haywood Regional Medical Center (HRMC) is announcing that Dr. Glenn Trent joined Mountain Spine Care on February 1, 2016.
“We are very pleased with the addition of an experienced surgeon like Dr. Trent to Mountain Spine Care,” said Phillip Wright, CEO of Haywood Regional Medical Center. “With Dr. Trent on board, we plan to be able to expand the services of Mountain Spine Care to meet the needs of Western North Carolina so more patients can get care closer to home. With the addition of Dr. Trent, Mountain Spine Care will be opening an office in Sylva in the early spring.”
Dr. C. Glenn Trent received his B.S. degree from Michigan State University in electrical engineering. He is a graduate of Wayne State University School of Medicine and completed an orthopaedic residency at the Greenville Hospital System in Greenville, S.C. After a year of private practice, he completed a Fellowship in Spinal Surgery at the University of Ottawa. Following completion of his fellowship, he returned to private practice in 1985 concentrating his practice to orthopaedic trauma and spinal surgery. For the past 12 years, Dr. Trent has focused his practice on spinal problems and spinal surgery. Dr. Trent is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
“I am excited to be here with Dr. Miller as he trained under me,” said Dr. Trent. “I love the mountains and I’m moving from Johnson City – mountain to mountain – so it already feels like home.”
Mountain Spine Care also features William Miller, MD (Fellowship trained and Board Certified), Aaron Giese, PA-C and Jon Grady, PA-C.
Dr. Trent is accepting new patients. Appointments can be made by calling Mountain Spine Care at 828.452.8378. The practice is located at 581 Leroy George Drive, Suite 380 in the Outpatient Care Center on the 3rd floor. He will also be seeing patients at Harris Regional Hospital beginning in mid-March.
