Dr. Marshall is a board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon with expertise in cosmetic as well as reconstructive procedures. Before coming to Western North Carolina, Dr. Marshall practiced in a Plastic, Reconstructive and Hand Surgery clinic in Missoula, Montana. He is committed to restoring function to people with injuries, birth defects and/or cancer, and he also takes pride in helping people look and feel their personal best. As a Doctor of Osteopathy, Dr. Marshall treats the whole person and always takes time to align his patients’ expectations with their surgery. Dr. Marshall received his Doctor of Osteopathy degree from the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. He then completed a five‐year residency in General Surgery, followed by a two‐year fellowship in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Marshall is double-board certified in both Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and in General Surgery. During his 7 years in Philadelphia, Dr. Marshall received extensive training at prestigious medical centers such as Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Geisinger Medical Center, Cooper University Hospital, and the Westchester Medical Center in New York.
