Keeping your child safe is your top priority but accidents and illnesses can happen.

Fever can be a key warning sign in kids. Call your doctor if fever rises above 104°F for any age, over 102°F for babies 3 months to a year, and over 100.4 for babies younger than 3 months. Call right away if your child has a fever with other symptoms such as stiff neck, severe headache, seizure, severe sore throat, unexplained rash or repeated vomiting or diarrhea.

For head bumps and falls, it is crucial to watch for confused speech, lethargy, blurred or double vision, vomiting, headaches or ringing in the ears. If you notice any of these symptoms, call your doctor and do head straight to the ER if your child loses consciousness.
