Haywood Regional Medical Center’s (HRMC) Sunshine Award is a recognition program for hospital employees who provide non-nursing ancillary care, support services personnel, and volunteers. This award honors the highly valued and appreciated co-workers and volunteers who show exceptional service and compassion every day. We are pleased to announce our February winner: Kim Jackson, Executive Assistant.

Kim Jackson will celebrate 30 years at Haywood Regional Medical Center this fall. In addition to her daily duties as Executive Assistant to the CEO, Kim oversees an enthusiastic group of volunteers. It was one of her volunteers that nominated her for this award, saying, “As the liaison for the HRMC volunteers, Kim is always responsive and prompt... In all that she does, she is joyful, efficient, helpful and wise. We appreciate her so much!”

Greg Caples, CEO, shared, “Kim works well with so many people inside and outside the hospital in her role, and is the perfect liaison for our important volunteers. We are lucky to have her on our team in every capacity she serves.”
