Haywood Regional Medical Center to Host Lunch and Learn on Reverse Shoulder Replacement
October 22, 2025
Haywood Regional Medical Center invites community members to a free Lunch and Learn entitled “Why a Reverse Shoulder Replacement?” led by orthopaedic surgeon Michael Sirignano, MD on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Haywood Community College in the Juniper Building, Classroom 6105, located at 125 Sawmill Drive, Clyde, NC 28721.
During the informative session, Dr. Sirignano will outline what a reverse shoulder replacement involves, explain why this procedure is sometimes recommended over a traditional shoulder replacement, and identify which patients may be suitable candidates. He will also address common causes of shoulder degeneration, how symptoms typically progress, and what patients can expect during recovery.
Reverse shoulder replacement is often recommended when the rotator cuff is severely damaged or when a standard replacement is unlikely to restore function. For many patients, this approach can significantly improve mobility, reduce pain, and help restore independence in daily activities.
This Lunch and Learn offers a relaxed, educational setting where attendees can learn directly from a specialist, ask questions, and better understand their treatment options.
The event is free and open to the public, and lunch will be provided.
