April 09, 2026
Haywood Regional Medical Center invites community members to attend a free Lunch and Learn, “Living Your Best Life: A Practical Guide to Self-Care and Work-Life Balance,” on Monday, April 27, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Haywood Health and Fitness Center, located at 75 Leroy George Drive in Clyde.
The session will be led by Sheila Gordon, MS, RN, CPPS, who will guide participants through practical, science-based strategies for building resilience, improving mood, and supporting overall health through fitness and daily habits.
This interactive workshop is designed for all ages and will focus on realistic approaches to self-care, including managing stress, improving energy levels, supporting better sleep, and creating a healthier balance between work and personal life. Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing, as light movement and exercises will be incorporated throughout the session.
Programs like this highlight the importance of taking a proactive approach to overall wellbeing. By combining education with hands-on participation, attendees will leave with tools they can apply in their everyday lives.
“Supporting both physical and mental wellbeing is an important part of caring for our community,” said Sue Shugart, FACHE, CPPS, CEO of Haywood Regional Medical Center. “We are proud to offer opportunities that provide practical guidance and encourage healthier, more balanced lifestyles.”
The event is free and open to the public, and lunch will be provided.
