Haywood Regional Medical Center expands orthopaedic team with addition of Meghan Lee, PA-C
April 24, 2026
Haywood Regional Medical Center (HRMC) is pleased to welcome orthopaedic provider Meghan Lee, PA-C, to its medical staff. Lee will begin seeing patients May 1 at Western Carolina Orthopaedic Associates, located at 581 Leroy George Drive, Suite 300, in Clyde.
Lee earned her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from California State University, Long Beach, and her Master of Clinical Medical Science from Barry University in Miami Shores, Florida. She brings a strong clinical background with experience across multiple specialties, including cardiothoracic surgery, emergency medicine, family medicine, and pediatrics. During her training, she assisted in a wide variety of surgical procedures and supported patients through both inpatient and outpatient care.
Lee developed an interest in orthopaedics through her background in athletics and personal commitment to physical fitness. As a former competitive dancer and current weightlifting enthusiast, she values the role mobility plays in overall health and focuses on helping patients maintain function and independence through individualized care plans. Before entering PA school, Lee gained experience as a physical therapy aide, supporting rehabilitation efforts and building a strong understanding of functional movement and recovery.
Originally from Los Angeles, Lee most recently lived in Miami while completing her medical training. She chose to relocate to western North Carolina for its strong sense of community and natural surroundings.
“We are pleased to welcome Meghan to our orthopaedic team,” said Sue Shugart, FACHE, CPPS, chief executive officer of HRMC. “Her clinical training, combined with her personal passion for mobility and wellness, will be an asset to our patients and our community.”
Lee joins an established complement of providers at Western Carolina Orthopaedic Associates, including: Arnold Silverberg, MD; Michael Sirignano, MD; Samantha Levin, MD; Crystal Morrow, FNP-BC; and Maegan Weeks, PA-C.
