Taylor Jenkins, FNP-BC, joins Haywood Regional Medical Center medical staff, gastroenterology team

Haywood Regional Medical Center (HRMC) is pleased to welcome gastroenterology provider Taylor Jenkins, FNP-BC, to its medical staff. Jenkins will see patients at Mountain Medical Associates, located at 600 Hospital Drive in Clyde alongside Filberto Colon, MD and Mallory Meiners, PA-C.

Jenkins earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Western Carolina University and a Master of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University. She is board certified as a family nurse practitioner and brings a strong clinical background with experience in primary care, emergency medicine, and perioperative nursing.

Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, Jenkins served as a perioperative registered nurse at Harris Regional Hospital, where she gained hands-on experience supporting a variety of procedures, including those in gastroenterology. She also worked in a Level II trauma center emergency department, caring for a wide range of acute and complex patient needs.

Jenkins developed an interest in gastroenterology through her clinical experience and her broader focus on wellness, nutrition, and lifestyle. She values building relationships with patients and helping them make practical, sustainable changes that support their overall health and day-to-day well-being.

Originally from Conway, NC, Jenkins has lived in western North Carolina for nearly a decade and has strong ties to the region through her education and professional experience. She is passionate about serving the community she calls home.
