Andria Smith, RNC-OB, CBC, CCE, Director
Andria Smith RNC-OB, CBC, CCE is a nationally certified registered nurse in inpatient obstetrics, certified breastfeeding counselor, and certified childbirth educator. Andria is a native of Haywood County and lives here with her husband and two children. She has been working in the obstetrics/neonatal specialty area for the last 21 years.
Matthew Denti, DO
Dr. Denti received his medical degree from West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg, WV, completed Residency Clerkships at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Harrisburg, PA and Yates Indian Hospital in Fort Yates, ND and his Internship at Clarion Hospital in Clarion, PA. He specializes in all areas of obstetrics and gynecology, including well-woman exams, infertility evaluations and treatment, prenatal care and menopausal care. He has over 20 years of experience in obstetrics and gynecology.
Kelly Garcia, MD
Kelly Garcia, MD, received her medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine, Gainesville, FL in 2014. She then went through her residency with the MAHEC Family Medicine Residency Program in Asheville, and continued with Blue Ridge Health during a 1-year Maternal-Child Health Fellowship. She then joined the BRH practice in Clyde.
Mark Kinter, MD
Born in Parkersburg, WV, Dr. Kinter received his B.A... degree in Microbiology from Clemson University, SC. He received his medical degree from the University of SC in Charleston. He completed his family medicine residency at the Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC in 1994 and has been Board Certified in Family Medicine since 1994. He is certified in the Neonatal Resuscitation Program (American Academy of Pediatrics) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS - American Heart Association) as well as Neonatal Advanced Life Support (NALS). Dr. Kinter serves as the Chief of the Maternal Child Health Service at Haywood Regional Medical Center and on the Board of Trustees.
Traci N. Lombard, DO
Dr. Traci N. Lombard received her medical degree from the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, Kirksville, MO and her post-graduate training was at the Phoenix Children's Hospital/Maricopa Medical Center in Pheonix, AZ where she completed a Pediatrics residency. She also holds a B.A. in Mathematics from Trinity University in San Antonio, TX. She is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.
Robin Matthews, MD
Dr. Robin Matthews is board-certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology with Haywood Women’s Medical Center. She received her medical degree from University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham, AL, and completed her residency at North Carolina Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem, NC. She is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She has over 25 years of experience in obstetrics and gynecology.
Anna Mooney, MD
Dr. Anna Mooney received her medical degree from the University of South Carolina-School of Medicine, Columbia, SC and her post-graduate training was at the Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, GA where she completed a Pediatrics residency. She also holds a B.S.. in Chemical Engineering (cum laude) from the University of South Carolina. She is certified by the American Heart Associate in PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation).
Joseph Niner, MD
Dr. Niner received his BS Degree from the University of Maryland and graduated from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He completed his residency at York Hospital in PA and is Board Certified in both Obstetrics and Gynecology and Obstetrics & Gynecologic Surgery by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Jenny Van Winkle, MD
Dr. Van Winkle is board certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology. She received her medical degree from Texas A&M Health Science Center – College of Medicine and completed her residency at The Methodist Hospital – Houston Obstetrics & Gynecology in Houston, TX. Her special interests and training include prenatal care, family planning, infertility evaluations and treatment, laparoscopic and vaginal surgeries, well-woman exams, colposcopy and LEEP (Loop Electrosurgical Excision Procedure) procedures, hysteroscopy and menopausal care. Van Winkle is also fluent in Spanish.
Lisa Stewart, RN, BSN, IBCLC Lactation Consultant
Lisa Stewart, RN, BSN, IBCLC is a graduate of Western Carolina University. She has been a nurse for over 14 years and an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) since 2018.
Her desire to support mothers and babies with breastfeeding began with her own experience as a new mother learning from her 3 children. She pursued her nursing degree as a second career with the hope of one day becoming a lactation consultant. While caring for babies, mothers, and families at Mission Hospital in Asheville, she became an IBCLC. In December of 2019, she began working at Haywood Regional Medical Center.
Lisa, originally from South Carolina, has lived in Western North Carolina for 27 years. She loves to spend time outside in these beautiful mountains.
Laura Willis, RN, BSN, IBCLC Lactation Consultant
Laura Willis, RN, BSN, IBCLC is a graduate of Presbyterian Hospital School of Nursing and University of North Carolina-Charlotte. She has been a nurse for over 30 years and sat for her board exam in 2008. Laura has also been a La Leche League Leader since 2007.
Her practice began in Charlotte at Carolinas Medical System. In the summer of 2015 she and her family moved to Waynesville and she began practicing at Haywood Regional Medical Center in October of 2015.
Ashley Pennington-Tripp, CNM
Pennington-Tripp is a Certified Nurse Midwife who completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Western Carolina University. She went on to earn her Master of Science in Nursing – specializing in Nurse Midwifery – at Frontier Nursing University in Versailles, Kentucky.
