Clinical/Rehabilitative Massage
This type of massage is a site-specific treatment with a precise goal or outcome. A number of massage modalities are used by the therapist to focus on your condition or pain.

Lymphatic Massage
Also known as lymphatic draining, this technique boosts your immune system and will decrease swelling.

Oncology (Cancer) Massage
This is a modification of existing massage therapy techniques in order to safely work with complications of cancer treatment. An oncology massage may help decrease pain, fatigue, nausea, anxiety and depression.

Pregnancy Massage
This is a wonderful complimentary choice for infertility, pre-natal, and post-partum care.

Relaxation Massage
Also known as Swedish massage, this is a therapeutic full body treatment.

Kinesio® Tape Sessions
This technique is designed to decrease pain and facilitate the body’s natural healing process. Kinesio® tape provides joint and muscle support and stability without restricting the range of motion. There is an additional $20 charge for the tape. Come meet our highly trained and qualified massage therapist and allow them to help you with your health and wellness challenges. Meet our Massage Therapists

Elaine Dohms, LMBT, BCTMB, CLT-LANA
Elaine has extensive educational and experience in traditional medical field. Once she began to study Integrative Medicine she realized that a blend of both traditional and integrative medicine can create a nurturing, and effective approach to client recovery and relief of pain associated with Neuromuscular acute injuries or chronic conditions that cause reduced quality of life. She is Nationally Board Certified in the therapeutic massage and bodywork as well as Lymphedema Therapy. She has taught Oncology Massage and was the facilitator for the only Lymphedema Network for over five years. We are happy to welcome Elaine and the begin offering Medical and Lymphatic massage at Haywood Regional Health & Fitness Center.

Laura Bridges, LMBT
Laura is a Licensed Massage and Bodywork Therapist. She is a graduate of the Center of Massage and Natural Health located in Asheville, NC. Prior to graduating from CMNH, Laura earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Recreational Therapy from Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, NC. SHe has been working at Pardee Hospital as a massage therapist on the mental health/medical detox unit since 2002 and as a massage therapist at Haywood Regional Health & Fitness Center since 2008. She has over 18 years of clinical experience. She is certified in Swedish massage, pregnancy/postpartum massage, and massage cupping therapy. She has received trianaing in the following modalities: myofascial release, myofasical mobilization, healing touch, spa treatments, hot stone massage, chair massage, and deep tissue massage. Laura believed in the healing power of touch and the mind/body connection. Her passion is in helping other achieve and maintain overall health and wellness.
