Lunch and Learn: The Inside Tract – What to Know about Digestive Cancer

Get the inside track on Digestive Cancer at our next Lunch and Learn. From the esophagus to the colon, prevention of different types of cancer of the digestive system will shared. Join us for a free Lunch and Learn session June 14 from 12:00 – 1:00 pm at Haywood Regional Health & Fitness Center.

Gastroenterologist Mark Pankonin, MD, PhD, and General Surgeon Al Mina, MD, will share information about prevention, symptoms, causes, and treatments. There will be a time for questions and answers at the end of the presentation.

Dr. Pankonin trained as a Jackson Gastroenterology Fellow at the University of Miami and completed his internship at Emory School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA. Previously, he earned his MD/PhD from the Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, MI. Dr. Al Mina received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Wayne State University school of Medicine in Detroit, MI, and went on to complete his residency at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, MI.
